The smartly planned, agrarian wonderland that is Serene shines in springtime, especially during the popular May Day Festival (held May 6 this year). Since its 2004 beginnings in the Chattahoochee Hill Country, Serenbe has redefined how Atlantans- and fans from much farther afield-think about country living in the South. The growing project offers a sophisticated lifestyle (complete with yoga studios, art galleries, and top-shelf eateries) in a serene, rural setting maybe a half an hour from the airport.
