The founder of a Georgia agrihood spoke about his experiences in property development and the importance of sustainable planning to multiple audiences this week.

Steve Nygren, founder of the Serenbe development in Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia, addressed Franklin city staff on Monday and about 100 members of the public during the Vision City Conference on Tuesday.

Serenbe, which marks the 20th anniversary of its groundbreaking this year, is an agrihood dedicated to preserving nature, improving residents’ health and building a sense of community unlike that of a traditional suburb.
