The Biophilic Institute and Biophilic Cities, a three-day summit earlier this month hosted in Serenbe, invited urbanists, architects, and environmental trailblazers to participate in seminars exploring nature-centric design and practices. The event in Chattahoochee Hills included keynotes, panels, and educational workshops on how biophilic design can impact health and well-being. “Biophilia describes the connection human beings have with nature: all that is vital and living. It is a term that we at the Biophilic Institute see as crucial to sustaining future generations and creating a society of wellbeing, sustainability, and prosperity,” said Biophilic Institute president Jim Durrett in a statement. “We created the Biophilic Leadership Summit to bring together leaders and learners for education and inspiration in the emerging field of biophilic design.”
