Georgia’s film industry makes second homes at Serenbe an Oscar-worthy idea

Behind California and New York, Georgia is the No. 3 filming location in the United States. Between summer blockbusters like Captain America: Civil War and cult TV series like "The Walking Dead," the film industry spent $2 billion in the Peach State in the 2016 fiscal year on 245 projects.

And when film crews scout out long-term accommodations for cast and crew, Serenbe stands out for its setting and selection.

It’s not only the film and TV industry driving demand; Serenbe regularly receives inquiries for short- and long-term rentals. Hollywood is capitalizing on Georgia's film-friendly tax credit system, and wise investors are capitalizing on Serenbe's selection of properties and the benefits that come with them.

Serenbe partners with Atlanta-based interior design firms to offer full furnishing of any investment property. Starting at approximately $15,000, two bedrooms can be furnished to become a second-home hideaway or rental property, including linens, décor and flatware.

The management side can be turnkey as well. "The Inn at Serenbe's Rental Program offers exclusive advantages to owners looking to rent out their property," says Sarah Hennessey, Manager. "These advantages include our Guest Services staff, housekeeping and maintenance team; online reservations system and full-time conference services focused on increasing year-round executive occupancy via corporate and group business at Serenbe."

For a one-time set-up fee and per-rental revenue share, the Rental Program keeps investment properties stocked with guest supplies … and guests themselves.
