When Rebecca and Ross Williams shuttered their Chattahoochee Hills cheesehouse at Many Fold Farm in 2017, it was with a heavy heart but a determination to work towards a new agrarian economy in the South. One that allows farmers to prosper while supporting the good food movement and being responsible stewards of the environment.

Their vision will soon become a reality because of a new partnership with Rodale Institute, which will open the Southeast Organic Center at the Williams’ 300-acre farm in order to focus on the unique challenges of farmers in the southeast United States.

Serenbe knows the power of bringing like-minded groups together for impactful partnerships. They first brought Rodale to Chattahoochee Hills in 2016, when its Organic Life magazine built a wellness showhouse in Mado one of the first homes in Serenbe’s newest neighborhood. This sparked a relationship with the Institute arm of Rodale, which continues as Serenbe joins their Chatt Hills neighbors as a key partner in the Research Center. With it’s own certified organic farm, Serenbe will offer a unique opportunity for community engagement such as connecting farmers, visitors and residents with educational programming, healthy culinary events, seed and soil workshops and more.

The next event at Serenbe Farms is the Fall Farm Party Pig Roast on Saturday, October 19 from 5-8pm. Come celebrate the season and support a local organic farm. The party will include Chef Nicolas Bour’s favorite Fall sides, Creature Comforts Beer, a bonfire with s’mores and plenty of fall fun for the whole family.
