Some New Apprentices Are Joining The Serenbe Farms Team.
Serenbe Farms brings in new apprentices each growing season so they can teach more farmers in Chatt Hills, Georgia, and the Southeast. Their competitive program gives apprentices the opportunity to learn how to grow diverse, high quality vegetables on small acreage throughout the seasons.
What does this entail? Well, apprentices at Serenbe Farms do everything from harvesting and green house seeding to irrigation and taking care of general farm maintenance. They also help out with the Community Shared Agriculture (CSA) program, farm tours, and selling at restaurants and local farmers markets.
The 2020 Serenbe Farms apprentices moved to the Farm last week, and they’ve hit the ground running to get ready for this year’s CSA (starting March 17), Serenbe Farmers Market (opening April 4), and their annual Plant Sale (April 18).
So without further ado, please welcome the 2020 Serenbe Farm Apprentice Class!
