About Anne:

Anne Beidler has been on the faculty of Agnes Scott College in Atlanta since 1992, where she is a Professor in the Department of Art and Art History. She has been a practicing artist, scholar and teacher for more than 25 years. Beidler’s work has been selected for inclusion in exhibitions throughout the United States and internationally. In the past year, she has been included in more than twenty exhibitions in the USA and abroad. Her work is currently included in the international exhibition: The Book as Art: Flight Edition at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport concourse E.

Artist Statement:

The images from this group of works transcend specific age or gender and reveal the constant, internal and evolving self, found in the private space of thought, body and the personal. At the core is the concept of “the center out there” which ties us to our home-place, our kindred and to the earth, while linking us to unknown places from our past and future. My work includes a collection of inter-related mixed media books, paintings and prints created simultaneously. Each of the included segments interweaves my areas of interest as an artist. As a printmaker, I have always been interested in the technical overlay of various print methods in creating images. My artist books and prints are meant to be viewed closely. Creating an intimate and layered interaction between artist and viewer, are all at the center of my visual exploration.

About Grange Hall Gallery:

Art Farm has partnered with Grange Hall to curate artists for the walls of this beautiful event space. Artists’ featured will be Serenbe residents and close friends, who are emerging and established, those who have never shown their work before and some you may be familiar with from Atlanta. Grange Hall as a venue provides artists with a rich, diverse audience of visitors, corporate event guests, neighbors and residents. Gallery show proceeds will support the artist’s growth and that of the Art Farm.

Grange Hall is open to the public on Saturday from 11am-6pm, pending event rentals.
