Grange Hall Gallery Opening: Ali Harper
Join us as we celebrate photographs by Ali Harper at Grange Hall Gallery. Opening reception will be from 5-8pm. Complimentary wine served. RSVP recommended but not required. All are welcome.
Ali Harper lives and works in Serenbe as a lifestyle photographer. Once a Creative Director, she left the advertising industry seven years ago to pursue her love of being on the other side of the camera. Known best as a visual storyteller for brands large and small, she utilizes her extensive design background, combining it with her passion for food, interiors and landscapes to create uniquely scripted imagery.
Her work has been featured in Garden & Gun, Kinfolk, Martha Stewart, Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles, Southern Living, Outside, Culture, Matchbook, Where Traveler and Flowers Magazine.
“Collected”: A quiet moment, object or animal — each photograph made is a discovery and elevation of graphic, interconnected patterns and textures — naturally found, arranged or assembled.
The inspiration for this work began years ago when my son and I walked the trails together at Serenbe, picking up items we found along the way. Once home, we freely arranged collages of these collected treasures. It became a way to appreciate the small details surrounding us, and observe objects in a different light. Over the years it has become somewhat of a ritual to forage and create still lives, to search the woods for quiet moments and pieces of nature we feel must come home.
