“Flowers leave a part of their fragrance in the hands that bestow them.” - Chinese Proverb.
Dianne grew up in Vermont on the edge of a patch of woods. As a child, she would wander around the fields and forests, picking wildflowers to return home to my mother. These are some of my most precious memories of my formative years.
Dianne worked with glass for over 10 years before branching out to a new medium. Drawing upon her wanderings in nature, Dianne seeks to capture the essence of the leaves and flowers that she loves so much in a plaster casting.
Her castings reflect a brief moment in time, like a fossil unearthed from an archaeological dig. Made with the finest plaster and colored with minerals and pigments mined from some of the last remaining quarries in France, Dianne has found a new way to express her love and joy for nature. Dianne is a self taught artist on a never ending journey to create something that will speak to your heart and bring beauty into your home.
