Melissa Payne Baker is best known for her abstract paintings that convey emotions or feelings that touch the viewer. From traditional interiors to contemporary, her abstract artwork creates the perfect punch to any decor. The heart and soul of her work is derived from everyday life and experiences. Melissa spends her days chasing her dreams as well as her young son, both keeping her creativity in full bloom. This Southern artist found her passion for art early in life, learning from generations of artisans. With a degree in Marketing from the University of Mississippi and over two decades in interior design, she pours her experience into each abstract piece she creates. Melissa’s unique texturing techniques and use of color are what attracts clients from collectors to designers across the country. Her work has been published in national publications from Traditional Homes, Cottage Journal, Southern Home, Nashville Arts, Dallas Home, Vie to Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles. Her work has been featured in designer show houses around the Southeast, including the Southeastern Designer Show House. Melissa lives and creates in Atlanta with her husband Rick, their son Payne and their cat Gesso.
Augusta Wilson is interested in art that is both accessible and thought provoking. She wants to bridge the gap between paintings that belong in MOMA and paintings that match your sofa. The best of both worlds is achievable. For as long as she can remember, proper etiquette and design have been her guides. She has a BFA in painting from the University of Georgia and a MFA in painting from Savannah College of Art and Design-Atlanta. Wilson’s education led to a summer in the hills of Cortona, Italy, a love affair with events and marketing, and a visual language that never tires. When she isn’t painting, she enjoys teaching abstract painting classes for adults at Binders Art Store and in her home studio as well as helping other creatives with their fine art business. You can find her paintings throughout the United States, most notably at Huff Harrington Fine Art Parish Atchison Home, Trouve. Augusta was raised in Mobile, Alabama and is currently based in Decatur, Georgia with her husband and two young sons.
What happens when two committed Francophiles, art lovers and design junkies get together over a bottle of red wine? A fine art gallery with a little je ne sais quoi is born, followed a few years later by its home furnishings and décor sibling. Huff Harrington Fine Art was started by Ann Huff & Meg Harrington with a gallery located on a cute and quiet street in Atlanta’s busy Buckhead neighborhood. Over the years, they found that their taste in art struck a chord with clients and they dove into developing collections filled with exciting artists – emerging and established, French and non-French. The next step was to merge art, design, and home décor. The home furnishings boutique Huff Harrington Home was born. A natural extension of their business and passion is to offer personally hosted trips to Paris and Provence, for buying, shopping, sightseeing and all the accoutrements that make up their adventures in France.
